Once you have a CAD model, you need to save it as an STL file (Steriolithographic). This can then be used to create the software control
code to tell the 3D printer machine where to put the plastic.
Creating this control code is done by the 3D printing software. Below are shown the same CAD model loaded into 3 different software packages for turning the CAD model into
code to control the 3D Printer.
